Analysis Summary
CVE-2024-2440 CVSS:5.5
GitHub Enterprise Server could allow a remote authenticated attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a race condition. By making a GraphQL mutation to alter repository permissions while the repository is detached, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to maintain admin access to a detached repository.
CVE-2024-1082 CVSS:6.3
GitHub Enterprise Server could allow a remote authenticated attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could deploy arbitrary symbolic links to a GitHub Pages site with a specially crafted artifact tarball to gain unauthorized read permission to files.
CVE-2024-1084 CVSS:6.3
GitHub Enterprise Server is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the tag name pattern field in the tag protections UI to inject malicious script into a Web page which would be executed in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
