Analysis Summary
This threat is linked to the SideWinder advanced persistent threat (APT) group targeting users with the malicious documents luring them to open the document which seems to give information about the police officials who are infected with Covid-19. This is an active campaign and comes in on a specific time when there’s a rapid decline of Covid-19 cases in Pakistan. This seems to target Pakistan specifically by the Hardcore Nationalist (HN2) aka Sidewinder APT Group, which has been working in the interest of Indian Government.
