Analysis Summary

CVE-2020-5938

F5 BIG-IP could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a flaw when negotiating IPsec tunnels with configured authenticated peers. By using a lesser-than-configured encryption strength for the connection, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to negotiate an IPsec connection to obtain sensitive information, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.

CVE-2020-5937

F5 BIG-IP (AFM) is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper input validation when processing layer 4 (L4) traffic. By sending a specially-crafted request, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause TMM to restart resulting in a denial of service condition.

CVE-2020-5936

F5 BIG-IP (LTM) is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper input validation when processing SSL traffic and client authentication are enabled on the client SSL profile. By sending a specially-crafted SSL traffic, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause TMM to restart resulting in a denial of service condition.
