CVE-2021-26089

This vulnerability allows attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Fortinet FortiClient on Apple macOS. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the FortiClient installer. The issue lies in the lack of proper permissions set on log files created by the installer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of root.
