Tariq Afzal

Tariq Afzal is the founder and Chief Executive Officer at Streamatics, Inc. He has over fifteen years of industry experience in design and development of high- performance general-purpose and specialized processors. He has held management and leadership positions at semiconductor companies Motorola, Samsung, Toshiba America and Chameleon Systems. Most recently, he worked as Chief Design Engineer and Architect at Chameleon Systems, Inc. where he was responsible for architecture development of its reconfigurable processor and design methodology. He invented a parallel language for its processors. Prior to that he worked as Senior Manager in Toshiba where he managed the architecture and tools development of the Emotion-Engine processor, which forms the heart of Sony Playstation-II.
